Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. and POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. hold separate certificates of conformity with the BRCGS Global Standard for Consumer Products - Personal Care and Household.

The standard sets requirements for product safety, quality management and the control of production processes. Certification covers specified processes and product groups, as defined in each company's certificate.

Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o.

Certification covers the production facilities in Batorowo and Przeźmierowo and specified processes involved in the manufacture of decorative paper napkins, disposable paper plates and paper cups.

In the audit conducted in April 2026, the company achieved a grade of AA (Higher Level). The certificate is valid until 8 June 2027.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o.

Certification covers the production facility in Iława and specified processes related to the manufacture and converting of paper products, including plates, trays, tablecloths, cups, napkins, tissue paper and V-fold paper hand towels.

In the audit conducted in January 2026, the company achieved a grade of AA (Higher Level). The certificate is valid until 9 March 2027.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. has a certified Quality Management System compliant with the international ISO 9001:2015 standard for the production of tissue paper. The system has been certified since 2018.

The ISO 9001 standard specifies requirements for quality management, including process control, meeting customer requirements and the systematic improvement of operations.

The compliance of POL-MAK IŁAWA's quality management system with the requirements of the standard has been confirmed through independent certification.

The current certificate, issued by TÜV Rheinland Polska, is valid until 2 October 2027.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. has a certified Environmental Management System compliant with the international ISO 14001:2015 standard for the production of tissue paper. The history of environmental certification at the Iława production facility dates back to 2018.

The ISO 14001 standard specifies requirements for managing the environmental aspects of a company's operations, including identifying and assessing environmental impacts, monitoring processes, meeting applicable requirements and continuously improving the environmental management system.

The compliance of POL-MAK IŁAWA's environmental management system with the requirements of the standard has been confirmed through independent certification.

The current certificate, issued by TÜV Rheinland Polska, is valid until 2 October 2027.

POL-MAK operates a certified FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council® Chain of Custody) system, enabling the identification and monitoring of the flow of materials covered by the FSC system throughout the supply chain and production.

The holder of the multi-site certificate is POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. Its scope covers three production facilities: POL-MAK IŁAWA in Iława and the Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK facilities in Przeźmierowo and Batorowo.

Certification enables the production and sale of specified paper products with appropriate FSC claims, in accordance with the certificate scope, materials used and applicable traceability requirements. This does not mean that all POL-MAK products are FSC-certified.

The current certificate was issued by Preferred by Nature and is valid until 28 June 2031.

POL-MAK operates a certified PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody system, enabling the identification and monitoring of the flow of materials covered by the PEFC system throughout the supply chain and production.

The holder of the multi-site certificate is POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. Its scope covers three production facilities: POL-MAK IŁAWA in Iława and the Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK facilities in Przeźmierowo and Batorowo.

According to the currently available document, the certification scope covers tissue paper and paper cups. Certification enables specified products to be offered with appropriate PEFC claims, provided that the requirements concerning materials, traceability and sales documentation are met.

The certificate does not mean that all POL-MAK products are covered by the PEFC system.

The certificate was issued by Preferred by Nature and is valid until 22 April 2029.

Selected products of Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. and POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. have been awarded Certificates of Health Quality issued by the National Institute of Public Health PZH - National Research Institute.

The certificates confirm that the specified products, with compositions declared by the manufacturer, do not pose a risk to human health when used as intended. The certificates apply to specific products and their designated uses.

The certificates cover printed paper napkins intended for food contact and paper cups for serving hot and cold beverages. Both certificates are valid until 11 December 2028.

Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. and POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. hold separate Nordic Swan Ecolabel licences, allowing this environmental label to be used on specified products from the tissue paper product group.

Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official environmental label of the Nordic countries, awarded to products that meet requirements concerning their environmental impact. The criteria for tissue paper products cover, among other things, fibre sourcing, energy consumption, emissions to air and water, and chemicals used in production.

Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. and POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. hold OK compost HOME certificates issued by TÜV AUSTRIA, confirming that specified products meet the requirements for compostability under home composting conditions.

Certification applies only to products with the parameters specified in the documents and does not automatically cover the entire product range of either company.

Certification covers specified variants of white napkins with coloured printing, with a maximum nominal grammage of 22 g/m², as well as unprinted white paper plates meeting the requirements specified in the certificate.

Napkins: certificate valid until 17 March 2030.

Plates: certificate valid until 12 February 2031.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o.

The company holds a current OK compost HOME certificate for specified variants of white napkins with coloured printing, with a maximum nominal grammage of 22 g/m².

The certificate is valid until 17 March 2030.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. holds a DIN CERTCO certificate confirming that selected paper plates meet the requirements for compostability under home and garden composting conditions.

Certification was carried out on the basis of the NF T51-800:2015 standard. It covers naturally white, unprinted paper plates whose composition and technical parameters comply with the requirements specified in the certification documentation.

The certificate, registration number 9P0101, was issued on 25 April 2023 and is valid until 30 April 2028.

In June 2026, Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. was awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, achieving a score of 74/100 points and ranking in the 87th percentile, among the top 15% of assessed companies.

This marks another stage in the development of our sustainability management system, following the EcoVadis Bronze Medals received in 2024 and 2025.

The EcoVadis Medal is one of the most important international distinctions in sustainability assessment. It reflects the result of an independent assessment of the sustainability management system, covering the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

In 2024, Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. received the Jakość Roku® 2024 Promotional Quality Mark, awarded by the Qualitas Foundation in the “Product” category for decorative napkins made from tissue paper.

The award represents recognition of the quality of the specified product and forms part of the history of development and improvement of Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK's product range.

POL-MAK IŁAWA Sp. z o.o. received the Energy Transition Leader 2025 award at the Polish Climate Congress for the project “Improving Energy Efficiency and Reducing POL-MAK's Emissions Through Cogeneration”.

The project involved the installation of a natural gas-powered cogeneration unit with a capacity of 3,300 kW. This technology enables the simultaneous generation of electricity and heat, supporting efficient energy use at the production facility.

The award recognises POL-MAK IŁAWA's investment in developing modern energy solutions and improving the efficiency of production processes.

Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK Sp. z o.o. received the Energy Transition Leader 2024 award for a multi-stage energy transition carried out between 2020 and 2023.

The project involved a number of initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency, including LED lighting upgrades, the use of renewable energy sources, the installation of heat pumps, heat recovery from production processes and the modernisation of technical equipment.

The activities also included the development of electricity and natural gas purchasing strategies and participation in the Demand Side Response (DSR) programme, which supports the stability of the national electricity system.

The award, presented at the Polish Climate Congress, recognises the importance of Zakład Poligraficzny POL-MAK's comprehensive approach to improving energy efficiency.
